We need a new Mobile Health Clinic!

Today, after 22 years of service, the IWHC Mobile Clinic is exhausted and in a state of total disrepair. It is urgent that we replace it.

The number of women per year that the Mobile Clinic can serve has been drastically reduced to 350 from 1,200. Factories and businesses that request the Mobile Clinic are routinely turned down. Women who have health-care issues are not being served because the Mobile cannot go to their work sites. The impact on the collective health of immigrant women is starting to be felt, and the only solution is to get a new Mobile Clinic.

The launch of the first Mobile Clinic in 1981 was a breakthrough in the delivery of community healthcare. We are excited by the possibility of continuing to bring such innovation to immigrant and refugee women, and in doing so, to continue to forge new trails in healthcare.
